Port of Tauranga’s customers have 24-hour access to the Port’s “one stop shop”, its Customer Service Centre, which is responsible for a range of services, including:
- Monitoring of harbour traffic
- Communicating with vessels
- Planning shipping movements
- Pilot and tug services
- Security and surveillance
- Ordering of resources such as cranes
- Allocation of shed and open spaces
- Berth allocation and planning
- Link to border agencies
- Customer liaison day to day
- Liaising with ship agents, stevedores and marshallers
