Port of Tauranga’s customers have 24-hour access to the Port’s “one stop shop”, its Customer Service Centre, which is responsible for a range of services, including:

  • Monitoring of harbour traffic
  • Communicating with vessels
  • Planning shipping movements
  • Pilot and tug services
  • Security and surveillance
  • Ordering of resources such as cranes
  • Allocation of shed and open spaces
  • Berth allocation and planning
  • Link to border agencies
  • Customer liaison day to day
  • Liaising with ship agents, stevedores and marshallers
