This class will be received or despatched from Tauranga Container Terminal within 24 hours of the vessel’s arrival. On arrival at MetroPort they must be uplifted within 24 hours of receival.

Actively Managed Dangerous Goods
For Imports and Exports Class 5.1 and 5.1.1A Dangerous Goods need to be removed from Tauranga Container Terminal within 24 hours of their arrival. They pose an additional risk in our operational area and it is impractical to have these go Direct to Motor Vehicle (DMV). On arrival at MetroPort they must be uplifted within 24 hours of their receival.
Class 5.1 UN 2067 Ammonium Nitrate Fertiliser:
Whether in transit or being loaded/discharged – Shipments are restricted to 400 tonnes, if containerised, and 25 tonnes, if break bulk or hold stowage. All Ammonium Nitrate being discharged at the wharves should be DMV but in practice 24 Hours will be allowed for removal.
