Port of Tauranga Announces New Chief Financial Officer

The Port of Tauranga today announced the appointment of Steve Gray as the Company's new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Gray will fill the vacancy left by Colin Boocock who is retiring at the end of the month, after 30 years with the Port, 11 of which have been as the Company's Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Gray is currently Finance/IT Manager for the Port and has held a variety of accounting roles in his 20 years experience with the Port and prior to this, management roles within the NZ Milk Board.

Chief Executive, Mark Cairns, said the Company had conducted an extensive search for Mr Boocock's replacement. "Whilst a number of very strong external candidates were shortlisted, we are delighted to be appointing somebody from within the Company. Steve is well regarded by the Board and management team and his appointment confirms the depth of experience and the high quality of staff that we enjoy at the Port."
