Port Status Update 25 October, 5 pm

The Pancaldo also worked over the weekend retrieving containers off the sea floor, commencing with the containers closest to the Mount. This work is continuing.
Given the settled weather and the fact that no further containers have been lost overboard, we have suspended the sonar and magnetometer scans in the shipping channels. These surveys can be recommenced at short notice should the situation change. The helicopter reconnaissance of the shipping lanes is continuing.
Attached is a clearer copy of the current exclusion zone. This is unchanged from that previously advised on 21 October 2011.
We will update you directly if the situation relating to marine operations changes.
