Northport Services Joint Venture Ends

Northport Chief Executive, Ken Crean today advised that following the recent sale of their forests by Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) agreement had been reached between Northport and CHH to terminate their joint venture at Marsden Point known as Northport Services. He stated that related services at the port would henceforth be run by Northport Ltd.

Mr Crean also commented that as part of the arrangement the throughput agreement between Carter Holt Harvey and Northport had also ceased as this was no longer relevant following the forest sale. He pointed out that the termination of the agreement would not affect throughput at the port and that future log volume projections were encouraging.
